Open Call for an INTERNATIONAL web-based Behavioural-art
HEXXYDEXXY BOX video ART FESTIVAL 2023
“SPACE/BODY/CHOICES”
This year’s call starts on May 20 and ends on June 30 at 05:00 PM Eastern Standard Time in India. Notification of selections will be sent out on August 1st, 2023. Hexxydexxybox is looking for YouTube based video performances festival in 2023.

The artists will use their bodies as a medium to investigate the relationship between space and the choices we make in our lives. Through their performances, they will explore the physical, emotional, and psychological spaces we inhabit, and the ways in which our choices shape our experiences of those spaces. They will delve into issues such as gender, identity, politics, and social norms, and challenge the audience to question their own beliefs and perceptions.
Do we remember through our senses, or through our body? Let’s not only celebrate the raw body also body of feeling and phonological statue. Is remembering a perception of the mind or of the heart? What is it to once again remember? How can we be resilient in this era of war and climate change? How can we express our sorrow through the arts? Can pain be a communal thing in this philanthropical era?
Hexxydexxybox is dedicated to creating a platform for artists and creatives to collaborate, showcase their talents, and inspire each other. SPACE/BODY/CHOICES is a testament to this commitment, bringing together artists from different backgrounds and disciplines to explore the theme of space, body, and choices. The event is an opportunity to witness the power of performance art to challenge and transform our perceptions of the world around us. This event invites you to explore the boundaries of your own space, body, and choices, and to discover new perspectives and possibilities.
Performance works should be new, performed this year, unpublished so far. The video of recorded performance can be up to 10 minutes long. One author can send only one video of the realized performance. Please send links only. (Not original video files)
How to apply: Please, send your video on wetrnasfar or drive shaere , including information about the performance work, one or two photos from that video-performance, supported by brief artist CV or biography to hdbox.pro@gmail.com, not later than June 30 at 05:00 PM Eastern Standard Time in the India. You can send video by WeTransfer. As participant of HDbox video ART FESTIVAL 2023 you will be provided with following: – information of the HDbox video ART FESTIVAL 2023 program will be published via social networks- presenting your art work online in the YouTube and 2023 program – catalogue of our social media 2023.

I’m a woman
This performance refers to the status of women in Iran. “Woman” has lost its meaning here. In the streets and squares and in the whole community, there are clothed figures that are called “women”.
A woman in Iran is not allowed to choose her clothing. Hijab is mandatory.
_ She is not allowed to choose to have or not have children. She has no right to abortion.
_ She is not allowed to choose a sexual partner. The topic of virginity is taboo.
_ A woman is not allowed to work or study after marriage.
– She does not have equal rights in inheritance and testimony in courts. The testimony of two women in the courts is equal to one man.
In all matters, a “woman” tolerates all kinds of gender discrimination.
This performance shows only a small part of this discrimination.
I am happy that since September 2022 until now, many women are fighting against the dictatorial government. Many of these women enter society without headscarves, without the usual hijab, and are fighting the mandatory hijab with civil disobedience. But there is still mandatory hijab in the law and there are still fears and threats for women without hijab. The fight continues.
